Buy CNC Metal Motorized Mini Lathe Machine DC 12V 24W DIY Tool 20000rev/min

1.Wood, plastic, and soft metals are suitable for use (aluminum, copper, etc.). Softwood and hardwood can be processed, and arbitrary shapes can be created with them. Whenever you reduce the speed of your general metal lathe to 2000 rpm rev / min.

2.The tool is made of high-speed steel and can machine soft metals such as nonferrous metals and precious metals. It also makes use of intermediate block heightening, which allows it to be expanded to a diameter range of 50mm.

3.A three-jaw chuck or collet (1 6mm) can be used to clamp the workpiece, with the center gongs being 25mm high and the center distance being 135mm.

4.Softwood and hardwood can be processed, and arbitrary shapes can be created with them.

A miniature metal multifunction machine in a set of one.

If you go into it with realistic expectations, this is a useful little tool.

If you are looking for a precision lathe for less than $200, you have not set realistic expectations for yourself.

However, if you only need to make simple turning and cutting operations in soft metals such as brass, copper, and aluminum, this tool may be of assistance to you.

The disadvantages are as follows.

1. There is a significant amount of backlash during the translation process. This was something I anticipated, and if you know how to back them out and go back, it isn’t a big deal if you are only doing basic tasks.

2. The instructions are not particularly clear. They spend a significant amount of time and space assembling the unit, which isn’t particularly useful given that it is delivered fully assembled. If you have to disassemble it, you might find it useful later on. If you are familiar with machine tools and/or are mechanically inclined, it isn’t that difficult to figure out how to do it yourself.

As the movement of the translation stages is quite stiff, you should lubricate the contact points with a light oil or spray lube before using them again.

4. Because there are no locking safety stops, you must exercise caution to avoid having your cutter or stage collide with the rotating chuck.

A few things to have on hand include the following items.

1. Having a 7mm socket driver comes in handy quite often. Each of the translation knobs has a locking nut in the center of the hub (center finder, horz, vert). You can lock a stage in one position by tightening the nut in the middle with a 7mm socket. The stage will remain in that position as long as the nut is tightened.

2. A Philips screwdriver (optional). There are three Philips screws that hold the center finder in place: two on the back and one that is hidden beneath the mounting track underneath the track. If you want to adjust the position of the center finder, you must loosen and tighten the three screws on the left side.

Having said that, here are some advantages.

1. It is reasonably inexpensive and is capable of performing simple tasks.

2. It is equipped with a three-jaw chuck rather than a drill chuck, as is the case with many other low-cost bench top lathes. You can flip the jaws around to hold larger items, up to about 45mm in diameter, I believe, depending on the model.

3. Unlike some other units, the power supply appears to be adequate at 3A, in contrast to some others. There is no need for you to purchase another one, as far as I can tell. When working with larger items, you will almost certainly have to cut more slowly.

4. As previously mentioned, a 7mm socket can be used to lock the translation stages in place.

For those in need of an inexpensive lathe to make simple cuts in soft metal and who are reasonably mechanically inclined, this could be a useful tool for them to have on their shelf.
