This Bosch router isn’t an exception. Cheap tools don’t last long, and this one is no exception, either. It died right in the middle of the first project, and it worked for less than 15 minutes in total time before it stopped. I started to smell, smoke, and then I quit.
Because there are no center lines on the base, setting the side guide is more difficult than it should be. This is an extra flaw. When you’re trying to align the drill bit to the depth scale, you don’t talk about how to mount the drill bit.
I’m very disappointed, because Bosch has been a part of our family for a long time. My father used Bosch tools, and they lasted a long time. They used to be the workhorses with high-quality build. Thanks to Amazon, I can return this quickly. I’ll stick with the “yellow” brand because it’s far more durable as far as power tools go for me.
