Sawdust, fine dust, pet dander, lint, pollen, smoke, wood chips, and car dirt don’t get stuck in the machine. For small particles like pollen and allergens, the filter media is 99.97 percent effective. It can remove particles as small as 0.3 microns, though.
Filter VF4000 and VF4200 work with Ridgid models like the WD5500, and the WD6425, and the WD0970 and WD7000. They work with the 1000RV, 1000RV, 1200RV, 1250RV, 3410RV, and RV2400A, 1400RV, 1400HF, RV2600B, 1650RV, 1620RV, 1610RV.

It has a detachable top plastic cap to make sure it will work with most 5, 6, 9, 12, or 16 gallon vacuums that were made after 1988.

Tips: Filters should be cleaned and replaced often to keep suction at its best.

Have a few Ridgid vacuums. This is what I thought. I thought these were old enough that no one had a filter. Neither of them worked, but having the end caps already built into the filter was a surprise. The original had just one filter in the middle, and the plastic ends were another problem. These replacement units come with the plastic ends, so there’s one less thing to worry about. Nice.
