On September 20, 2019, I bought this screwdriver. I’ve used it many times. It still holds a charger very well, and it still does its job very well.
One of the two small, red, securing clips that keep the case closed won’t stay attached to the case. This isn’t a big deal because the other clip keeps the case lid shut.
You should have this little rechargeable screwdriver around the house for those small jobs that come up at the last minute.

It’s been 14 months since this little rechargeable screwdriver first came out, and it still works great. One star is being taken off this because of the following. (1) The little led light doesn’t come on until you’ve already started screwing things together. It would be great if you could turn on the light before you start the screwdriver and let it stay on for a few seconds after you finish. The case is great, but one of the two plastic latches keeps coming off. They told me they were working on that problem and they would keep me up to date. I haven’t heard from them. With all that said, this is still a good power screwdriver to use for small jobs, though.
The best rechargeable screwdriver/drill for light work. Two months ago, I bought this little Hychika screwdriver set from Amazon for a low price. I’ve used it a lot, both as a screwdriver and as a small drill.
My jaw dropped when I saw how much torque it had. The battery seems to be holding up very well. Because it had been used a lot and the battery was still good, I plugged it in to recharge it after a few times. You should keep rechargeable batteries full to avoid them running out of power in the middle of the next job.
Screwdriver bits and a drill bit are included in the kit. The quick change chuck makes it easy to put them in and take them out of the quick change chuck. They are held in place by a quick-release, spring-loaded, collar that keeps them in place and is easy to remove.
Everything fits snugly into the plastic case that comes with it. One thing I don’t like about this item is the plastic securing latch. If you’re not careful when you open and close it, the slide-to-open/close latch can get stuck and fall off. To me, this isn’t a big deal. I wrap a small bungee cord around the case just in case.
As a bonus, the screwdriver has two little flashlights built into its body. One is on top and the other is at the bottom of the screwdriver. The one at the end of the screwdriver that does the work lights up as soon as the screwdriver is turned on. It would be even better if there was a way to turn on the front light without having to turn on the screwdriver. That’s not a deal breaker, either.
I sent an email to Hychika’s customer service through Amazon about the case latch not working, and they said that they will be working on a new design to fix it. They also said they would send me one of the new cases when they were ready for sale. Hychika also gave me a few dollars back to make up for this mistake. Great customer service.
I went the extra mile and bought a high-quality set of snap-on screwdrivers and drill bits, but that’s completely up to the person who needs them.
