As a professional technician, I can help you with your problems. I had been dissatisfied with the performance of the Ingersoll Rand tools I had been using for the majority of my professional life. Not long ago, I gave in and spent $300 on a Snap-on 1/4 inch air ratchet, which had been on my wish list for years. It had lost all power and was going to cost $100 to rebuild it because it was just out of warranty. Junk. On the recommendation of a coworker, I purchased this ratchet, which I have now had for two months. It performs admirably. Yet, despite the fact that it claims 15 lb-ft of torque while the Snap-on claimed 30 lb-ft, it is every bit as powerful as the Snap-on was ever. In addition, the smaller trigger is much more appealing to me. It is particularly well suited to small spaces. Hopefully, it will be more durable than the Snap-on version. IR is extremely long-lasting, but it is also extremely loud and weak.
