People have to think about how to make a powerful saw, but also how to make the battery last a long time. If you make the saw too powerful, the battery will run out very quickly, so you should be careful. If you make the battery last a long time, the saw will be very weak. I think Craftsman did a good job of finding this balance point. However, I think it’s still not powerful enough for a professional carpenter, in my view. My Dewalt miter saw is 12 inches long and plugs into the wall. For a long time, I’ve used it to trim many homes. Then, I’ve also put down hard wood floors and built a few decks with it. That saw is more powerful than the Craftsman V20 saw. A battery-powered saw is different from one that plugs in. As I’ve said before, Craftsman did a good job with their battery-powered saw. But even though this V20 Craftsman saw isn’t able to replace the 12” Dewalt that plugs into my shop, it does have a place in my tool box. I can take this Craftsman saw to a job where there isn’t yet power, which is huge. If the saw does its job, why have I even talked about its power. “Battery operated” power level, on the other hand, can’t cut as quickly as a saw that is “plugged in. For someone who only works on the weekends, that should be fine. This saw isn’t good for people who get paid by the job. When they try to cut through boards, it gets stuck and doesn’t work. Cut slowly or the blade stops. If you make slow, steady cuts, that’s fine. You can do that. There are some problems with battery-powered saws, but this is just one of them.

This is not the best way to keep a shop saw.
While this isn’t a great idea for a permanent shop saw, this is a great idea for someone who works where there is no power. This would be great for building tree forts, deer stands, farm repairs, decks, and anywhere else where there is no electricity.

For over three months, I’ve had this saw. I have to say that I use it more than I thought I would. You can use this saw while you build a garage, and your plug-in Dewalt is still in the shed. It’s really easy to use. I don’t think about power outlets when I use the saw. I just grab it and cut where I want. Because the battery is so big, it lasts for a long time as well. I’m giving it 5 stars because it is so easy to use.
