It is recommended that you use a P2 (Position 2) diamond grinding drum wheel with medium grit after the coarse grit of the P1 (Position 1) diamond grinding drum wheel for harder stones in order to provide a more equal surface start before polishing. Additionally, polishing drum wheels will have a longer lifespan as a result of this.

While I was attempting to use these to clean the corners of an undermount sink, the results were disappointing. Instead of polishing the stone, the rubber markings produced by the tool were left on the stone. It was at this point that I simply gave up and went to some inexpensive Chinese-made flat buffing pads, which worked far better. I was using a wet grinder, and while there was plenty of water going through, the rubber on the drum was simply not strong enough to withstand more than 30 seconds of use, even when I was being gentle.:( I was disappointed.
