I was concerned about whether it would fit because I purchased a Harbor Freight grinder rather than a name brand. It went together perfectly with one of the adapters. The “universal” hose adapter didn’t work for me, and I’m not sure why. I have a Shop-Vac that is 30 years old, and the nozzles are the same diameter as the shroud attachment port on the shroud. The solution I came up with was to use a Shop-Vac replacement hose that I already had but had never used, and cut the attachments off the ends so that it would fit the shroud and my vacuum nozzle perfectly. I purchased this shroud because it came with the adapter that I needed. Don’t make the same mistake I did and base your decision on the adapter, which is completely ineffective.
In fact, I put this shroud to use today and it worked perfectly. It did not allow even a speck of dust to escape, which is why it received five stars.
