I bought this saw to cut 2″ off the height of a steel entry door so that I didn’t have to order a new one that was the same size as the old one. As if it were a hollow wooden door, making the changes was easy with the saw. People don’t know how much they’ll use a tool until they buy it. This was one of them. Before, I used this saw to make holes in metal, like angle iron and conduit. I also used it to cut sheet metal and steel studs and other things that were made of metal. This saw might not be used on every job I do, but it has quickly become a part of my routine. How great it is to be able to cut steel and have clean edges without having to grind or file afterward. This saw saves a lot of time. Thank you, Dewalt, for adding the sight line window to make it easier and safer to see while cutting. There is also a high-strength steel shoe, which is a good thing. It has done its job well in battle. When you use the 5 Ah batteries, there is a lot of power behind the cuts and a lot of juice to keep you going all day. Dewalt still puts the tool in the same sturdy hard plastic case that we all know and love, so I’m happy about that. Every tool now feels like a unique tool. Thank you for this great deal.
