In the process of looking for a new Zip, I came across this. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy this because the Rotozip worked so well for me and it’s not a very cheap tool. For the last few months, I have used it. It was worth the money. This tool is very good. In a cordless, I had all the power I had with the Rotozi. This is what I mostly use it for. I use it for Sheetrock, ceiling tile, and paneling mostly. When you use this tool, you don’t need any tools to change the bits. There is a little trouble with the switch at first because mine was very stiff. I thought there was some safety at first because I was pushing so hard and it didn’t move. After the first day, the tightness was gone, and everything has been fine ever since. If you already have a drill or an impact, you can use the bigger battery that comes with them. It lasts about half the day when I’m hanging Sheetrock all day and cutting outlets and can lights. A strange thing about the battery is when it’s dying, it looks like it’s going at full speed and then suddenly stops. There isn’t really a way to tell that it’s low like some of the older tools did. There is a lot of power in the big battery. It runs all day lon. I haven’t used that yet, so I don’t know if it does the same thing. The tool is also very light, which is great when you have to work up high all day. Neither is too loud. Besides that, I think it’s great. I’d change nothing except that it needs a clip to hang from my tool belt. Even a clip for your clothes would be nice. Now I just tie a long zip tie around the tool and hang it from a hook on my belt. It’s not perfect, but it does what it needs to do. Haven’t thrown it yet.
