Dewalt is a well-known brand, and I was looking for a “driver” with a lower level of background noise. I purchased this product after reading reviews and hoping that the noise level would be lower than expected. It wasn’t any quieter than the Hitachi that I already had in my possession. I returned it and purchased a Milwaukee “Fuel” driver in its place. It has a noticeable difference in sound level. Although Dewalt is an excellent product, the noise level is not significantly reduced.
