Buy Compact 6-Tool DEWALT 20V MAX XR Brushless Combo Kit (DCK684D2)

DCD791 is one of the cordless tools in the combo kit. It has a DEWALT-built brushless motor that can run for up to 57% longer.

Cordless tool set DCD791 has LED lights that can be used in three different ways. One of them is spotlight mode, which makes the lights shine brighter.

DCF887 in the drill/impact driver combo kit has three speed settings and Precision Drive for more control. It comes with the drill and the impact driver.

It has three different speed settings and Precision Drive for more control, so it can be used for many different things.

DCS570 has a 7-1/4-inch blade that can cut 2-9/16 inches at 90 degrees.

DCS570 has enough time to make 330 crosscuts in 2×4 in 2 hours (pine.

It has a Quick-Change accessory system that makes it easy to change blades and other parts without having to use wrenches.

In the DCK684D2 DEWALT 20V MAX* XR 6-Tool Compact Combo Kit, there are six DEWALT cordless tools, like the DCD791 Compact Drill/Driver with two speeds and LED lights for working in dark places. The DCF887 20V MAX* XR Brushless 1/4-inch 3-Speed Impact Driver is small enough to fit in small places. Makes it easy to work in the dark because it has three LED lights. The DCS570 DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Circular Saw has a brushless motor that can keep going at 5200 RPM even when the saw is under a lot of pressure. The DCS367 DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Compact Reciprocating Saw is small and lightweight, which makes it easier to do your work, like cutting wood. The DCS355 DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Oscillating Multi-Tool has a powerful brushless motor that gives it up to 75% more run time than a brushed tool of the same size. The DCL040 in the DEWALT tool kit is a bright flashlight that shines 110 lumens of LED light into your work area.

The DeWalt Max XR tools are so much better than the standard DeWalt tools that it’s hard to even compare them. If you only use them a few times a year, you can save money by getting the standard editions. However, they don’t last as long because they have some obvious (like metal chucks, four way blades, metal bases, and metal gears) and not so obvious differences.

Pros: This is a great way to move up from 18v or another brand of tools without having to add too many more tools to your bag.

Cons: The circular saw is “left-handed,” so that’s one of them (see more below). A 2Ah battery and a 5Ah battery would be nice to have. It takes a long time for small batteries to run out of power with the saws. With the small batteries, the drills are more stable. If you already have some 20v tools, you might want to look at DCK694D2 instead. It comes with two 5Ah batteries instead.

The things.

DCD791 Drill: This is a simple, lightweight drill for contractors. It can do everything except for the need for a hammer drill. There are a lot of things I’ve used it for. I’ve used it to drill through ceramics, tiles, and simple holes. As a general rule, I’d rather use the small battery on it because the bigger battery throws the balance off and would only be needed if you were drilling hundreds of holes in your project.

DCF887 Impact driver: This tool is great for driving the last bolts, screws, and other things on your project. Remove the lugs from your car or truck with it. The three settings on the bottom of the tool can change how strong your project is going to be. Speed 1 turns it into an electric screwdriver, which stops screws from getting too far down the drill. Speed 3 can go anywhere. Speed 2 is a mix of the two. Again, unless you’re going to be driving 3/4″ lags all day, I prefer the smaller battery because it’s more stable.

It is true that DeWalt put the motor on the wrong side of the blade, which makes this circular saw easier to use left-handed than right-handed. I don’t think this will be fixed soon. I only use a circular saw when I need to make quick cross cuts and rough cuts. That makes it easier to use the saw with one hand while saving clean cuts and rips for a table saw instead, so it’s easier to use. If you use this a lot, a bigger battery will be your best friend. It will add weight, stability, and run time. It does come with a basic blade, but there is no wrench to put it in place.

Reciprocating saw: DeWalt switched to a more compact model for the XR line because it was easier to store. Because the new standard line saws don’t have four way blades, you must get an XR line saw. I prefer my old 18v traditional model because it’s more stable, but the run time on it is terrible. If you have a 5Ah battery, you’re lucky if this tool lasts for 20 minutes at a steady speed. How long did it take the 18v model to charge? It was only about 10 minutes. Quick demolition and landscaping can be done with these tools, which are good for small jobs. It still takes a corded saw or a lot of batteries and chargers for big projects to get done. Not even one free blade for wood and nails.

It’s the DCS355 Oscillating Multi-Tool that I think is the best thing in this set for me. DeWalt always wants to give you an angle grinder instead of a power tool. Angle grinders aren’t bad, but they use up a lot of battery power, so going corded is usually the best choice. The oscillating tool is well-balanced, and it is easy to use. Because Bosch and Fein make you remove the hot blade cover when you change blades, I don’t like them. The quick change blade chuck is better for me than the other two. With the DeWalt, you only want to avoid getting burned by the blade, not the blade and blade cover. For drywall cuts, grout removal, small close cuts, and cutting pipes, oscillating multi tools are the best. They also work well on plastic or metal pipes. Some people like to use multi-tools for tile, but I think they are better at chipping or cracking tile than cutting it, so they are better at that. One more time, these kinds of tools eat through a lot of battery. This tool is better balanced with a smaller battery. My advice is to use it for small projects only while having a corded model on hand for bigger ones. The multi tool came with two blades that could cut wood and nails, too.

DCL040 Work light: It looks like DeWalt is giving me another work light every time I turn around. Yes, they are very useful. You can use this one if you don’t have one. A torch-like lamp or a hook to hang it would be better. Work well under the sink or in a place where there is little light. Consider the light to be nothing but a waste of time when you write about your tools.

It is big enough to carry all of the tools, batteries and chargers. It has a zipper that is strong enough to keep it closed. It doesn’t have any separate places to store blades or bits. Weight: The bag is about 40 pounds with the tools and charger inside. If you’re going to work on a project, you need to bring a toolbox and a bag with you.

Batteries and charger: The set comes with two 2Ah 20v batteries and one charger. When it comes to tools, not all of them have thought about charging temperature. If anything, the 20v batteries are more finicky than the 18v ones. Charge them in a place that isn’t too hot or too cold. They don’t charge at all when it’s above 80 degrees or when it’s below 50 degrees. If this set is only for light-duty home use, you’ll need to buy more batteries and a different charger. I recommend the 5Ah batteries because they offer the best balance of runtime, weight, and cost. If you choose to purchase an additional charger, I recommend the two battery charger. It does cost more than purchasing two single chargers, but it saves space, an outlet, and offers 2 USB charging ports (no excuses from your work crew that their phone went dead).

In conclusion, this set or the previously mentioned DCK694D2 are excellent sets. Either way, you will need to order additional batteries and a dual charger may be a good idea depending on your work load. I know it is nitpicking, but it would be nice if DeWalt included some driver bits, a small drill bit set, and blades for all of the included tools. I like how many different tools are available with the 20v line meeting the needs of every trade. I have had good luck with DeWalt tools for years having never managed to break or wear one out other than the 18v batteries. Most of my 18v tools are from 2000 – 2005 with regular use and abuse while still working. My corded DeWalt tools are 20+ years old and still working. If you are a builder that is ready to switch or a weekend warrior, this is a great set to get you started with 20v.
