I bought this impact first because I was going to do some suspension work that would need me to remove an axle nut. The last time I tried to remove an axle nut, I had to stand on a breaker bar and jump up and down for 30 minutes. In the past, I didn’t want to go through that again. I bought this. The axle nut didn’t even bother this thing. That nut was off in two seconds, and I was done with it in no time at all. Was shocked. This thing has done everything for me. Usually, I start at the lowest setting and give the trigger a quick push. If that doesn’t work, I move up to the middle setting and give it another quick push. Then, if that doesn’t work, I go to the highest setting and see if that works. Most of the time, I haven’t even had to go to the top setting. When I’ve broken nuts and bolts on the middle setting, I didn’t even need to go to the highest. But when I do, it doesn’t make any difference. Does this thing make quick work of your lug nuts. However, if that’s your main goal, this thing seems way too much for that job. I think you should spend a little less money and get something cheaper. When it comes to really tight bolts or rusted nuts, this is the tool you need. This will work on them, too. If I had to say something bad about this, it would be that it’s too big.
