DCH273B or this one. ::::::::. Not unless you plan to do a lot of drilling overhead and use the hepafilter, buy this drill. It is lighter and more powerful. My job is to be a commercial electrician, and this drill has saved me a lot of time by not having to deal with cords and having to fight with eight other people for the one cordless roto-hammer on the job site. In the same way as another reviewer, I say that my biggest problem is trying to keep my coworkers from borrowing it. I was at first torn between this one and the much more expensive compact version, but I’m so glad I went with this one instead. It is lighter, takes up less space in my bag, and is a lot more powerful than the compact version. This is important to me because I already carry around more than 100 pounds of tools. So why would you buy the smaller one. Some times, the small size does help (i.e. drilling holes for wedge anchors to anchor heavy switchgear that is already in place—the compact version can be used inside the switchgear with a bit more ease). There’s also no doubt in my mind that the hepafilter would have been very important to you if you were drilling in cement all day. I may still buy the smaller version at some point, but this one is going to be the one I use every day.
Milwaukee tools are also great and I thought about their rotary hammers, but they were too big and didn’t have enough battery life for me to go with them first.
