One of my favorite things about the random orbital sander is that it makes my tools even better. To not have to trip over another cord or switch extension cords with another tool is a big plus. I almost bought the cheaper corded version, but I’m glad I didn’t. It was a lot cheaper. When I use the sander, I use a lot more battery power than when I use other tools. The bigger battery makes up for that. When I saw how well the dust collector worked, I was impressed.
A fast charger that can charge at 8 amps is my favorite thing. My two-amp batteries are charged in about 20 minutes, and I can use them right away. Having a lot of Dewalt 20amp tools means that you can use a lot of different batteries, which keeps you going. But adding this fast charger is a real game changer.
The multi-tool is a good thing to have, but it takes practice to cut things that are very precise. I think you should start by using it for things like demonstrations.
