Buy 5-Inch DEWALT Concrete Surface Grinder Kit (DWE46253)

None of the brushes in a brushless motor need to be changed.

The electronic kickback brake is activated when there is a pinch, stall, or bind-up. It stops the wheel, slows down the movement of the grinder, and turns off the motor.

One of the switches that turns the lights on and off has a “no-volt” release. An unexpected power outage or shut down of the tool will make the trigger switch need to be cycled (turned off and then back on) to restart it.

Users can change the speed of their wheels for different applications with variable speed functionality.

DWE46005 comes with a bail handle that can be set in a variety of ways by the user.

Style.

The concrete surface grinder is called that.

This 5 in. Brushless Surfacing Grinder Kit with Kickback Brake has a motor that doesn’t need to be changed, which means less downtime. It also has a brake that quickly stops the wheel. Kickback Brake and E-CLUTCH® are two features on this tool that help protect users without slowing down the tool’s performance.

All in all, this is a good deal. I’m a person who likes to do things on their own, and I had to prepare an 11×15 concrete floor for epoxy paint. Previous coats of paint and peel-and-stick vinyl tiles left behind were a big deal. In no time at all, this grinder ate through them.

Unfortunately..

As a rule, instructions are almost useless. There is too much English and not enough clear examples to help people understand. It doesn’t show the names of the parts in an exploded view. I didn’t bother with it. Other reviews talk about hacks. I didn’t have to do anything.

Getting the guard off and attaching the shroud took more time than it should have. Putting the locking nut in place is hard, and it comes loose a lot when the car is moving and braking. A little bit scary, but the wheel was still in place.

I hooked up the dust shroud to a shop vac/cyclone combo to get rid of the dust. Because of how much dust was in this, it took in almost 5 gallons of dust. I’m glad I went this way. Cleaning out the vac filter over and over again would have caused a lot of damage and made a mess.

Portable dust collectors with 4inch hoses were also used to pick up any extra dust. The vacuum and dust collector were outside, and I ran hoses through the window to get the dust and dirt out of the house. This kept my work area a little clean and dust-free.

In order to get into hard to reach places, the dust cover has a sliding cap that you can move. This makes a lot of dust. The sliding cap has its own mind, and it kept opening when I tried to close it. This made a lot of extra dust. Having a better locking mechanism could stop this.

Silicone dust is bad for your health. Protect your body. Safety: I bought a 3M full-face respirator for work. This was worth it, both for this and for woodworking, because it was worth it. I’ve used goggles and a half-face respirator for jobs like this before, but the goggles fog up and leak, and I wear contacts.

The hazmat suit was a little too much. It was too hot. Hearing and knee protection must be worn. This caused vibration to be bad, so we had to fix it. Even with gloves, my hands were numb and tingling when I was 75% done.

This is a good tool for the money. Some parts of it didn’t work right, so it only got two stars. Poor instructions just added to the pain.
