Regret this drill. After living in Milwalkee for 30 years, this is the first time I’ve moved. I bought this because of its reputed power, small size, and balance. Chuck didn’t ever lock. Under stress, the drill bit kept sliding. Finally, the chuck wouldn’t open. A wrench was used to open it. It never closed again. It stayed open all the time. Had to throw it away. However I assumed I was the unlucky one in a million so I tried the DWD 112 without complaining and took my losses. Now I am told this one can shock me and I need to return it for a fix but nobody has been killed yet.

I am forced to throw both in the garbage. I bought this online and I live in the West Indies. Sending this back to the USA for repair for me will be more expensive than buying a new one.

I believe Dewalt owes me a refund on both drills. My second choice will be a working replacement for the DWD 115. It was just what I wanted only to realize the one I got was no good. This has been a really bad experience with Dewalt. I have two brand new useless drills.
