These tools are for use by me as an intermediate hobby woodworker, which is what I do with them.
It is, in my opinion, an excellent sander for small jobs and moderate use. If you’re planning a project that will require a lot of sanding, I’d recommend looking somewhere else instead of here.
One disadvantage is that, unless I’m doing something incorrectly, the adhesive sandpaper becomes extremely difficult to remove after use and causes damage to the pad underneath. Having said that, the actual sandpaper works like a charm, and the tool sands extremely well as well.
Again, this could be due to user error, but the dust catch is a major reason for my rating of 4/5.. I believe it is only there for show.
Cord is a strong and long-lasting material. Despite this, I always connected to a ground extension cord, so the length of the cord was never an issue for me.
To be honest, it was well worth every penny. If/when mine breaks, I’ll most likely purchase another. The only time you should consider upgrading is if your project is more demanding.
