The Dewalt DNC650 finish nail gun looked like a good buy right away. The unit was small, light, and easy to load, but after talking to a Dewalt service rep, the unit was sent back for a new one. The wheel that is used to change the depth of the nail head could not be moved in either direction. This caused a nail to be driven in that was flush with the trim. Then, a hand nail set was needed. I wanted to do away with this hand set requirement when I bought the DCN650. Because I couldn’t change the nail depth on this piece of equipment, I decided to send it back and get a new one. I’m hoping that the new one will work better.

Addendum.

In the same way, the new nail depth adjustment wheel doesn’t work. I’m going to take the nail gun to a DeWalt service center to see if they can figure out how to change the adjustment wheel so that the nail depth can be set in the right places. The nail gun works great, except for one thing.
