I can’t function properly without this saw. I’m still on my first blade, and I’ve already cut through a ridiculous amount of metal, wood, and plastic with it. I don’t even bother with a fence because the guide is so good. I’ve used it to cut metal as thick as 1 inch and it’s done an excellent job. It also works well on thin sheet metal, which is another advantage. The majority of my cutting is done on 1/4-inch sheet metal, which it rips through in a matter of seconds. One blade has cut through approximately 40 feet of 1/4 inch thick material and is still cutting. One battery with a capacity of 4 amp hours can power approximately 8 feet of 1/4 steel. Cuts are extremely clean, and the metal is cold to the touch immediately after being cut. It is recommended that you wear long sleeves and a face shield.
