This little wood splitter is one of my favorites. It performs admirably for the purposes for which I use it. I use it to split up old 2x4s and 4x4s for use in a fire pit, and it works great. It sure beats swinging a hatchet, and it’s a lot safer, too. I wouldn’t expect this to work on anything much thicker than a 4×4 sheet of plywood. I also needed to get my 1/2″ drill out of the drawer because the battery-powered one I was using was not powerful enough.
