It has a soft tip. This is a great tool for polishing most metal surfaces and plastics 3/8″.
These genuine Dremel polishing tips are very strong, but they kept flying almost to pieces even when I used the rotary tool at a very low speed, even though they were very strong. Then I tried this: After installing a new polishing tip, use it for a short time at slow speed, then remove it and put a few drops of super glue in the hole where it was. You have to screw it back on when the glue is still a little soft, but don’t worry, because the glue won’t stick to the metal.
