Whether it’s me or the tool, there’s something wrong. You might not be able to get the battery out of this Dremel tool with your hand. The on/off switch is a little iffy, and the release button is a little iffy, too. I can’t do small or precise work because of vibrations that make it hard to move. It could be that I had too high of expectations, or that I got a bad tool. I thought Dremel was supposed to be a good tool for rotary cutting. I didn’t know that. I’ve used it four times. I thought my problem was because I didn’t know how to use this specific tool, but the sudden shut off with green flashing battery lights kept happening. It was not too hot. It hasn’t been pushed too far. I let the tool do the work. Is there a chance? Only if it wants to. Today was the best of the 4 things I’ve done so far. No, it didn’t shut off at random, and the mandrels didn’t come loose on their own. During a project, you find yourself having to remove the battery, which takes longer than the hour it says. My corded, non-Dremel tool has worked well for more than three years and a lot of work. I turn it back on and use it again. I should send the Dremel 8220 back because my window is still open. Because this was a kit with a lot of branded Dremel tools, it will be impossible to find them all. Perhaps contacting Amazon or Dremel will let me trade this for an electric one. If I get a flex shaft for Christmas, I know it won’t work with my non-Dremel tool that came with the flex shaft. I tried to change the shaft, but it didn’t work. I haven’t thrown the Dremel 8220 across the room yet. That could help. How would you get an old TV or radio to work. To be honest, I should have looked at the real reviews before I bought it.
