With our Tabletop Drill Press, you can use this handy aluminum Drill Press Vise to hold things in place while you drill (DRL-300.00). Vise has slots that can be used to connect to the base of a drill press. It has a quick release feature that makes it easy to open and close the jaws quickly. You can also use the handle to make small adjustments. It is 65mm wide and 1-5/64″ high (27mm). This is the widest the jaw can get (70mm). Overall length is 9-1/2″ long by 4-1/2″ wide.
There are two problems with this vise: a) the bolts don’t line up so that the vise can’t be aligned with the drill press base, making it hard to do simple tasks like drilling a bunch of holes at the same distance from an edge; and b) the bolts/nuts need a wrench on top and bottom, which means you have to flip the drill press on it. It’s important that they have a design that keeps the bolt at the bottom and doesn’t let it move. They should also have butterfly nuts on top, so you can move the vise to where you want it with the drill press in its normal position. I like how well the small drill press itself does its job.
