In short, nope. Skip this.
Pros.
Looks pretty cool.
– Uses thumb screws to connect to the router’s fixed base quickly and smoothly.
– Apparently, it makes a good air seal to better pick up debris.
Con.
– It does not work with the standard Dewalt DWV9000 Universal Connector.
Right in the middle of the air duct. A big piece of debris could get stuck in the air because of this.
After connecting it to a few accessories (like the ones shown in the picture) and testing it, the dust collection was not very good.
It doesn’t matter that this Dust Collection Adapter is clear, because you can’t see inside the router. You can’t see the part because it isn’t there.
In general, it’s a good idea, but there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. It will be a long time before the next version of this product comes out.
