Inflatable rubber wheels conform to the contours of the work surface.

Pneumatic wheels from Dynabrade are inflatable rubber wheels that are designed to run on a variety of Dynabrade tools.

Our pneumatic wheels, when equipped with an abrasive belt and inflated to the desired firmness, are ideal for a wide range of grinding and finishing applications.

Pneumatic wheels with coated abrasives and non-woven nylon belts for use on metal, wood, plastic, ceramic, fiberglass, and composites are supported by Dynabrade pneumatic wheels.

With each DynaWheel and Dynacushion Pneumatic Wheel, you’ll get a 98130 Air Chuck as well.

I work with stainless steel (finishing) and was looking for a linear motion burnisher that was also reasonably priced, as opposed to the many specialty burnishers that are available (dynisher, fein 14-25, etc.). In my possession is a Fein 14-25E, which is an excellent tool for linear finishing, particularly because it can make use of the quad-keyway 4 configuration “The nonwoven nylon finishing wheels are 4″x3/4″ flap wheels and nonwoven nylon finishing wheels. Unfortunately, that type of abrasive media is prohibitively expensive, with the best price per pound being around $40 at the time of writing. I was drawn to this pneumatic wheel because it makes use of belts that are much more reasonably priced (3-1/2″x15-1/2”) “Ceramic abrasive belts are the best type of abrasive belts available, and they are only $10 each. Because the belts are much more “aggressive” than a flap wheel, I primarily use it to satin finish 304 grade stainless steel and to remove heavy scratches from stainless steel. This wheel sees a lot of action in a commercial setting, and it is holding up exceptionally well. In order to use this wheel in the drill press, I took a partially threaded 5/8-11 hex head bolt, cut the head off, and now use it as an adapter shaft. This is ideal because the drill press has the ability to change the rpm (which I strongly recommend keeping at 800-1100). As much as I like this wheel, I’m thinking of purchasing the 3-1/2″x7″x5/8-11 hub in order to finish larger areas with it.
