I looked at a lot of vacuums and read a lot of reviews on this site and other consumer comparison sites. I bought this not because it was cheap, though that makes it easier to make the decision. I bought it because there were very few complaints about the filter system and how easy it was to clean and keep up with. On a lot of more expensive vacuums, the filter system is not easy to use, and getting to and taking it out isn’t easy. Motor damage is usually not covered by the warranty, so if this goes wrong, you’ll have to pay for that on your ow. This is well-designed so that the parts that connect are easy to see and are in a place that is hard to mess up. Putting it back together again is very simple. I’m sure there are vacuums with longer hoses, more suction, and so on, but this one cleaned up a room that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time with very little work. That’s why I can’t say much about carpet thickness or other things because I mostly have hardwood, rugs, or very low carpet. But it works and works well for me. People who want a bagless vacuum that is easy to clean and keep clean should buy this one.
