This powerful 5 inch angle grinder with a speed of 11,000 RPM and a power output of 1,200 W (10A) has a large power reserve and numerous safety features. Additionally, it has excellent balance, is lightweight, is extremely slim for the amount of power it has, and has extremely low vibrations. In addition, this grinder has an electronic feedback system built in to provide content pressure. Heavy-duty metal gearhead and a locking spindle are included for quick and easy wheel changing. Cord is rated as H07, which means it is resistant to damage and the most flexible cord available in the industry. All of this translates to greater material removal and a longer service life for the grinder.
When grinding, I typically use a Metabo auto-balance grinder, which I really enjoy. In addition, I use a Fein Multimaster, which I also enjoy using very much. The reason I was looking for a second grinder was so that I could work more quickly without having to constantly change wheels. I had originally considered purchasing another Metabo, but this Fein appeared to be a better value in the end.
I can confidently state that the Fein is a fantastic tool, packing a surprising amount of power for its relatively small size and weight. It is extremely comfortable to use and is extremely easy to control. However, the constant speed under load is a fantastic feature, and the soft start is a nice touch as well. However, it’s possible that the Fein grinder is a little louder than my Metabo (the two grinders have almost the same amperage), but that’s just my imagination.
