Buy Festool 768135 Multi-Colour Reducing Sleeve

It is mounted to the side of the tool, not the top.

Extraction of dust is done at the end of the process.

Size 36 to 27 mm has been reduced.

If you want to connect or adapt a D36 or D32 hose with a Festool tool that has a 27mm dust port, you need the Festool DC-D 36/27-AS Reducing Sleeve. This is an anti-static tool connection end. It’s easy to connect by inserting the end of a D36 or D32 hose into it. The diameter of the Sleeve goes from 36mm to 27mm.

I bought this because I thought the cleaning accessories for the Festools CT-15, a small shop vac, were all 36mm diameter. The hose that comes with the CT-15 is 27mm diameter. So I bought this as a “adapter” to connect the 27mm hose to a 36mm accessory cleaning kit that I thought it was.

I also bought the Festools #203428 cleaning accessory kit, which is listed as having a diameter of 27/36mm. I thought that it was 36mm diameter, and that I needed this #768135 adapter to fit it up to my 27mm hose that came with the CT-15, but I didn’t need it. The #203428 cleaning kit has a diameter of 27mm, and it fits perfectly with my Festools hose that has a diameter of 27mm. So, the #768135 adapter isn’t needed at all.

It doesn’t say what the “ACCESSORY CLEANING KIT” is supposed to do for the CT-15 “DUST EXTRACTOR. In this way, people like me have to guess which extras are needed to make the CT-15 work. I totally lucked out when I ordered the #203428 accessory kit. There is nothing from Festools or its dealers that tells you what accessory kit actually goes with the hose that comes with the CT-15.

Festools, do you hear me. I hope this rant helps other people who are just like us.
