I was milling wood with a 1mm diameter bit and a 3mm deep pass when the mill motor started speed hunting and stopping and starting. After about 1 1/2 minutes, the motor stopped completely.
In addition to having the brush cap stripped, the speed module’s potentiometer appears to have a bad wipe in it.
Other reviewers had warned me that this machine was overpriced, unreliable, and in general unsatisfactory, and they were correct. In my initial contact with Customer Support at Woodstock International, I was directed to Technical Support, with the caveat that they were extremely busy and that it might take a few days before they could get back to me. This machine will be on its way back to Amazon by the time they finish their work.
