I had a difficult time deciding how to rate this product. Overall, it’s a well-built drill with useful features that is ideal for simple household tasks. I’d rate it 4 or 5 stars for this reason. It does, however, have a significant amount of wobble, isn’t particularly fast, and doesn’t have a dual-speed switch, which is something that many other brands have. When using hole saws or spade bits, the wobble is a significant problem. As a result, I would not recommend this drill for woodworkers, anyone who performs precision work, or anyone who works on construction sites or in industrial settings.
Pros.
– The construction is sturdy.
– Trigger with variable spee.
Light emitting diode (LED), multi-position clutch (with bubble level), magnetic tray, and wrist stra.
– Chuck with no need for a ke.
– A hard-shell storage containe.
– The 0-500 RPM range is sufficient for the majority of household tasks.
– The cos.
Cons.
Precision drilling is made more difficult by significant wobble.
– The absence of coarse speed contro.
Drilling larger holes at a low speed is time-consuming.
The bottom line is this.
This would be a good option for people who only need to do a few odd jobs around the house. I’m debating whether or not to return it: I’ve been told that I’ll be receiving a $200+ DeWalt drill kit for Christmas, but I’m thinking about keeping this drill for my girlfriend to use because she’s not very good with power tools.
