In preparation for getting higher chairs, my wife and I took on the project of raising our dining room table and painting it. Because we are a newlywed couple, I did not have access to power tools, so I looked for the best quality for the best price and came across Genesis. I purchased the set because I knew I needed a drill, but the addition of an impact driver seemed like a good idea for more difficult projects (in addition, the fact that it comes with two replaceable/rechargeable batteries that can be shared between the two tools and that it comes with a convenient bag was a huge plus). I ended up using both of them to assist with the assembly of the 4x4s and 2x4s so that the table could be raised. In addition, the drill worked perfectly and had a lot of torque, and the impact driver made it possible to get the 5 inch screws through the 4x4s and into the 2x4s with ease. Due to the fact that they are cordless and surprisingly lightweight, they were ideal for our project. Additionally, the bright light on the front was ideal given that I was working under the table for the majority of the time. The time savings allowed me to hand over the project to my wife for painting, and I was able to store both tools and their accessories in a bag so that I wouldn’t lose them for the next DIY project. If you’re putting together a collection of first-time tools, this is a must-have. I even purchased a Genesis cordless circular saw, which uses the exact same 20V battery and charger as the other tools in my collection. I intend to continue to expand my power tool collection with Genesis cordless tools. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
