Glass Abrasive #150 is a very fine abrasive blasting media that can be used for a variety of applications. It is a dry blasting media that is sharp, angular, and made entirely of pure glass. It has a Mohs hardness value of 5-6 and is manufactured in the United States. GLASS ABRASIVE is excellent for blast cleaning and surface profiling on a wide range of materials, with little risk of particle embedment or damage to bearing or other sensitive hardened surfaces, as is possible with slag media, sand, or harder products such as aluminum oxide. GLASS ABRASIVE is also non-corrosive and non-flammable. GLASS ABRASIVE is a crushed recycled glass material that has been sieved to size. It is excellent for most general purpose blast cleaning projects, with coarser grits being used for tougher jobs and finer grits being used for finer surfaces, as described above. We have five different grit sizes ranging from 20 to 150. Remember that GLASS ABRASIVE is not the same as Glass Bead, which is a spherical glass product manufactured for peening and polishing purposes, but not for cleaning and profiling a surface in preparation for re-coating purposes. GLASS ABRASIVE is most effective when applied at pressures less than 40 psi to ensure long-term effectiveness. The color of the glass varies from mostly white to tan/khaki due to the fact that it is a mixture of recycled white, amber, green, and blue glass.

I’ve just opened the box to put it to use. However, I was the one who made the mistake of making it too fine. Purchased for the purpose of weighing reborn dolls. Still, everything should work out fine. Shipping was quick, and the packaging was sturdy.
