Rite-Temp Mixer and Pressure-Balance Unit Kit, which includes a replacement for Kohler parts GP800820 and GP77759, is a replacement for Kohler part GP76851. It works with Kohler shower valves K-304 and K-11748.
Didn’t work out well, though. I was able to solve my original problem, but I kept having a leak no matter what I did. We couldn’t change the temperature of the water. When I put in this kit, I was able to solve that problem, but my shower kept dripping all the time. I tried adding silicone lubricant to all of the washers and even replacing the washers with the extras that came with the kit. I still leaked. Finally, I went to Lowe’s and paid more than double the price for the same part, but it worked great. I didn’t want to spend the extra money, but it was worth it not to hear that dreaded drip again.
