A chain saw sharpener that runs on 12 volts and has a speed of 24,000 rpm is made of cast aluminum, molded polycarbonate, and zinc-plated steel. These stones can be used to sharpen standard chain pitches. They come with one each of the following sizes: 5/32in, 3/16in and 7/32in.

Love this. You can keep this one in your shop so you can use it if you need to get very close to sharpening your chains. I’ve used it to crosscut (35 degrees) and rip (10 degrees) chains with this tool before. It does take some work to get the tool set up for the first link, but then it’s great for making sure the cutters are always the same size.

One thing I want: why can’t I use a regular plug to charge. For this, I have an electric plug, but I’d rather have a 12v battery in my shop. I like that it can be used in the field from a battery from a car or truck. It would be great if it could do both things.
