Buy Jig Saw (GreenWorks JS24L00), Green

Greenworks 24V Lithium-Ion battery: 20 percent more power and 35 percent more run time. It doesn’t fade or lose power after it’s been charged, and there’s no memory loss.

The 24V brushless motor is more efficient and has more torque, quiet operation, and a longer life. Allows a person to cut through thicker materials with a 1 in. blade strok.

Variable speed trigger for the most control possible. 3,000 strokes per minute (SPM) to cut faster. A tool-free blade clamp makes blade changes quick and easy. For smooth and easy bevel adjustments, the tool-free bevel moves from 0° to 45° to the right or left without having to use a tool.

This is one of three ways to set the orbit. In general, the less orbital action you use, the better your cut will be. The more you move the blade around, the faster it will cut.

A built-in LED light makes it easy to work in dark places. A vacuum adapter, a 6 TPI (Wood) and an 18 TPI (Metal) blade are all included.

The type of power source is battery powered.

Style: Only tool.

It’s called the Greenworks 24V lithium-ion platform, and it can run 50 indoor and outdoor products. These include lawn mowers, string trimmers, power tools, and more. The 24V lithium-ion battery gives you 20% more power and 35% more run time, and it doesn’t fade or lose power after it’s been charged. The outdoor power equipment lets you work on up to 1/4 of an acre with the 1.5Ah, 2Ah, and 4Ah batteries. USB ports are built into the BAG711, BAG708, and BAG709 batteries, so they can be used to charge phones, tablets, and other electronic devices on the go. It comes with a three-year tool and battery warranty to protect your money.

When you first look at it, it looks like a good-looking tool that isn’t too heavy or light. However, it says it can do 540 ft/lb of torque, but it doesn’t. In my case, the ft/lb specs on my wheels are 89 ft/lb, and it can’t get them off (this is after I tighten them to spec using a torque wrench). There are other bolts on my car’s suspension that have to be torqued to about 100 ft/lb, but this wrench couldn’t get them loose. I often use my 18-inch breaker bar to loosen things up, then use this wrench to remove them, which doesn’t make sense.

It also started to come apart after I used it on a few bolts. Hex screws hold the driver section (silver on the picture) to the green/black back section (green on the picture). These screws came loose, and all of a sudden there was a space between the parts. If the whole thing had come loose while I was trying to remove a stubborn nut, I don’t know what I would have done. I put threadlock on them and tightened them, but this should not have been the way it turned out.

A third problem is more about how things work. The wrench doesn’t come with a battery, and Amazon doesn’t have a Greenworks battery for it. They say to get one from someone else. When you return the wrench, things get more complicated because you’d have to send back the wrench, battery, and charger in separate packages. The battery works great.

When I asked Greenworks customer service via email what I should do, they told me not to do it. Perhaps the wrench isn’t working right, or having the housing come loose made the torque less powerful. What do I know? I don’t know. I didn’t hear from them at all. So, now it’s too late and I can’t return it to Amazon. I have a torque wrench that doesn’t have much torque.

Sadly, I don’t think this is a good tool.
