Buy HDS183-02 18V EC Brushless Compact Tough 1/2

In a bind-up scenario, kickback control reduces the risk of a sudden rotational torque reaction, which is undesirable.

All-metal construction has been improved. Chuck maintains a high level of bit retentio.

E. It has a brushless motor with efficient power that produces 531 in.-Lbs of torque.

Delivers an impact rate ranging from 0-28,500 bpm for difficult masonry projects.

Precision clutches have 20+1 clutch settings, which means less fastener damage overall.

A kickback control feature and a Bosch integrated acceleration sensor are both included in the Bosch HDS183-02 18-Volt EC Brushless compact tough 1/2-inch hammer drill/Driver. When a potentially dangerous rotational torque reaction occurs in a bind-up scenario, the tool automatically shuts down to protect the user. In binding conditions, this reduces the likelihood of sudden tool reactions occurring. The tool has been designed with an upgraded, heavy-duty all-metal chuck that provides increased robustness and torque transfer while maintaining the same size. This drill/driver has a long tool life and a long runtime because of the efficient EC Brushless motor it uses. Bosch compact tough designs have a short head length and are light in weight, but have a lot of muscle. This is one of them. With 531-inch-lbs of torque, it delivers a powerful performance. Two drilling speeds (0-1,900 RPM for high speed and 0-600 RPM for high torque), an impact Rate of 28,500 BPM for masonry applications, and twenty-one precision clutch settings for reduced fastener damage are all included in the package. To protect the tool and batteries from overload and overheating, this tool includes an ergonomic grip zone as well as Bosch electronic motor protection and electronic cell protection. It comes with a long belt clip that ensures a secure fit. The Kit comes with two 18-Volt 2.0 Ah SlimPack batteries as well as a charger for them. (1) Hds183 18-Volt EC Brushless compact tough 1/2-inch hammer drill/Driver; (2) Lithium-Ion SlimPack batteries; (1) charger; (1) magnetic bit holder; (1) 4X bit holder; (4) bit tips; (1) belt clip, and (1) carrying case.

It’s a perfect fit. A few minor drawbacks: when you insert the drill bits into the side holder, they can be extremely sharp and cut your skin. I did have a minor issue once, but it was minor. When I tried to turn it on after locking the clutch, it wouldn’t turn on at all. Later on/after a few tries, it starts working again. I was convinced it had completely failed me, but it didn’t.

Advantages include different modes (hammer or drill), as well as different speeds. 2 AA batteries are required. The charger charges at a rapid rate. Brushles.

Cons: Expensive; side container for holding the drill bits; drill bits are sharp and can injure you if you are not careful. It’s a soft case rather than a hard case, which is fine.

In general, I don’t do heavy-duty drilling like a construction worker would do. It hasn’t given up the ghost on me. It is still operational. Remove the battery from the drill if you don’t use it frequently, and it will last longer.
