HHIP dividing plates are used for phase II style rotary tables that are 6-12 inches in diameter. Index plates, a crank handle, and a washer are included in this set. Plates A and B are included in the set: 34, 37, 38, 39, 41, 43, 44, 50, 52, 56, 61, and plate C is included in the set: 46, 47, 49, 51, 53, 54, 57, 58, 59, 62, 64.
This is completely ineffective. At the very least, the holes on the 39-hole ring are incorrect. Simply put, this device will not be able to produce an accurate 65 tooth gear. I have repeated the steps on two gear blanks and with a pen and paper to ensure accuracy. All of the results are the same – the final tooth is too wide, and the entire pattern is ruined. This item is expensive, but it is of poor quality. The indicating hands are made of low-cost plastic. Even with magnification, the stamped numbers are too small to be seen without a magnifier, and the fact that the holes aren’t cut precisely is unacceptable. At all costs, stay away from this garbage.
