The KC18DGL is an 18V Combo Kit that includes a driver drill (DS18DGL) and an impact driver (DS18DGL), both of which are covered by Hitachi’s Lifetime Lithium Ion tool warranty (WH18DGL). When combined with an ergonomic and lightweight design (only 3.7 lbs), the DS18DGL driver drill delivers 400 in/lbs of torque. The WH18DGL impact driver is only 3.1 lbs in weight, but it provides 1280 in/lbs of driving torque for heavier applications despite its small size. To go along with the tools, you’ll get one BSL1815S lithium-ion battery and a bonus BSL1825 lithium-ion battery. The BSL1815S battery provides fade-free power, weighs less, and has three times the total battery life of traditional NiCd batteries. My primary cordless drill (8v) has served me well for the past few years, but when I began working on some larger wood projects around the house, my old drill was simply unable to keep up with the demands. I had spent countless hours online and on Amazon looking at countless other drills and drivers before I came across these. What a fantastic deal on the two drill/drivers, two batteries, a charger, and a carrying case. Both of these have a tremendous amount of power, and I am very impressed with them. I’d never had the pleasure of using an impact driver before, but WOW, what a difference it makes! I highly recommend it. It cuts through treated wood like a knife through jell-o with its deck screw-driving ability. The drill also has a lot of power and a lot of settings that you can adjust to meet your specific drilling and other needs. The batteries are also quite good, and they last for much longer periods of time than I require. The fast charger does, in fact, charge them in approximately 30 to 40 minutes. One advantage is that you are unlikely to be using both of them at the same time, so if one of them runs out of juice, you can simply swap in the other interchangeable battery and keep on trucking. Even the case itself has a tough physical feel to it. This entire combo set has exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier. It was a pleasure to work with. Additionally, the led lights on both are of great assistance and are angled so that they do not cast a shadow on the work you are doing. Awesome!
