A tool called the 325B Air Nibbler doesn’t cut or saw metals. It “nibbles” at metals instead. This gives you more control and precision when cutting metals with up to 18 gauge thicknesses at more than 6 feet per minute.
You can cut 0.050 aluminum sheet with this tool like butter. The best way to cut straight lines is to put a straightedge against the snout. This isn’t very hard, but it does take a steady hand. I have to say that nibblers aren’t like circular saws, where you can see the cutting and steer accordingly. They aren’t like that with nibblers. It’s very easy to move around, so if you’re not careful, you’ll wiggle all over the place if you’re not careful. This is the only reason I gave this tool 4 stars instead of 5. Putting a straightedge against the snout is the best way to solve this. Some people have said that the moon-shaped cutouts are sharp and annoying, but I just use a shop vac to clean them up and they don’t bother me at all. The IR 325B is very strong and well made. If you need cutting bits, you can get them from IR. This means this tool will be useful for a long time.
