After I changed the blade, a coworker showed me their $20 Harbor Freight version that was almost exactly the same build, so I tried it out. I didn’t pay attention to that. I thought there had to be something special about this one because it costs so much. Some air tool oil (from them) was used to hit it. I went to try to bend some metal with my hand. The air saw vibrated so much that I couldn’t hold on to it. I thought it was just the material and kept cutting. I made a bad cut and a coworker asked if I could use their bluepoint airsaw. The blue point took over right away, and I felt like it was part of my hand. I didn’t even feel like I was cutting, but more like I was writing with a pen. Because of this, Ingersoll didn’t have a lot of faith in my business in the future. This is exactly what you’d expect from a builder from outside the country. Substandard parts that you can make yourself for a fraction of the price of what they cost to buy.
There has been a lot of research done on airsaws for a few weeks now, and I finally bought this little guy. Not even used it yet, and it’s already covered in residue. The rubberized pad looks like it’s been overtorqued, the body itself has scratches all over it, and it looks like someone else has used this one. When you touch the Ingersoll plaque on the side, it makes a sound as if it’s not in the right place. There is already crust and rust in the threads of the air adapter. I don’t know if I’m being too harsh, but this saw costs more than many other saws on the market, and the way it looks is ruining the whole thing for me. Before this even hit the store, I would be able to see flaws as small as.03 with my own eyes. In the past, I’ve seen better Harbor Freight saws than this one. This one looks bad. There was only one thing that kept the box closed, and it was f*%k masking tape. I hope it gets used.
