It was less than two years old when I heard a noise coming from the unit. There was smoke coming out of the unit as I neared it. Isn’t that when the unit was off. Soon after plugging it in, I took it out. I felt the top of the unit, and it was very hot. Because there were no other items using the same plug, I was able to plug in the device. I’m going to call JET and see what they can do. The warranty says it’s good for 5 years. I hope I can get a new one or get a refund because it says it’s good for that long. In this case, be careful!
