When I spun the wheel, it wobbled from side to side, and it looked like a nice grinder. It is necessary to bend the shaft. The box had been damaged, and the styrofoam that supported it had been compressed and cracked as if it had been dropped. When I turned it on, there was a whining noise and it vibrated. I returned it and received a replacement in a short period of time. The new one was something that wobbled but didn’t make a lot of sound. I returned it to you. I gave it two stars rather than one because it had the potential to be a fantastic machine. This is a very heavy duty model.
Update: the rating has been raised from 2 to 4 stars. The third one is effective. It’s a big deal!.
I would have given 5 stars if I hadn’t had to return the two that were wobbly in their construction.
** New update as of November 2020 *. This machine is one of my favorites. My main use for it has been to grind angle iron. I was grinding with a hand-held grinder, but the process was taking too long and causing injury to my wrist. This bench grinder is much faster than my old one, which would have slowed down. More power than the majority of people will ever require.
JET should address the poor material handling and the fact that two out of three aircraft were damaged if they are reading these posts. Why. Others have voiced their dissatisfaction with the same issue. Is it a reference to the Amazon. Is it JET, or something else. Is it a third-party service. This is causing them to lose their good name. The 10″ grinding wheels are extremely heavy, and it is possible that additional support will be required during shipping.
