The ability to wick away moisture is critical for comfort. It reduces the amount of humidity against the skin, allowing your patients to feel drier and cooler. Superior moisture wicking is the result of two factors working together: spread and speed. 1. Moisture spreads throughout the room. In general, the more surface area that moisture covers, the faster it will evaporate. 2. Because of the rapidity with which moisture spreads to the maximum area, it can evaporate more quickly. Moisture is less likely to become trapped against the skin, allowing your patients to remain cooler and drier.
Despite the fact that I have worn these socks for years with good results and reasonable wear, the quality appears to have deteriorated in recent months. The ankle seam stitching is defective right out of the box, and there are multiple holes and exposed skin. I have returned these socks to the store.
