In order to keep insects out of an air channel, I purchased this staple gun and used it to attach 100 feet of screens to the bottom of the channel. It makes sense to use a pneumatic stapler at this scale. The issue I’m having is that, despite the fact that the product page and the box both state that it accepts “3/8-inch crown staples,” the size I’m using is simply too wide for the stapler. 3/8″ is approximately 10 mm, and elsewhere on the product page, it is noted that these require 9 mm staples, which I am unable to locate locally and which are not apparently considered to be “3/8-inch” by staple manufacturers.
I’m at a loss for what to do because this stapler does not come with any staples, and I’m hesitant to purchase an unusually large staple for such a small tool.
