This lightweight, pistol-grip shear cuts mild steel up to 14 gauge and most stainless steels up to 16 gauge with ease. The KE440, which is double-insulated, cuts at a rate of more than 150 inches per minute, leaving a clean, flat sheet that is ready to be fabricated. During the manufacturing process, distortions are absorbed in a waste curl that can be easily disposed of, leaving the sheet cool and free of burn, chips, and burrs. The cutting blades are made of the finest high-speed steel and can be easily replaced either individually or as part of a replacement blade kit.
Product of high qualit. This is a replacement for my Kett 100, which I would estimate to be at least 20 years old at this point. It worked in an autobody shop on a nearly daily basis during that time period. The new one is a more powerful unit that can cut through thicker metal and sheet metal with ease, like butter through butter.
