Mine has lasted me all the way up to today. I purchased mine on October 14, 2020, and it has served me well up until the very day I wrote this.

It began to smoke and stop working while I was using it to cut a piece of rebar in half. A loud click and grating sound could be heard before the tool stopped working.

According to what you can see, there are two small parts that have fallen out of the motor: one appears to be a piece of graphite and the other appears to be a conductive component that should have been firmly adhered to the motor’s internal portion. The reason I didn’t go any further inside the motor is that I don’t have a lot of experience with that kind of stuff. I’m sure I could have fixed the wiring if that had been the source of the problem, but it wasn’t the case.

I firmly believe that I have been cheated out of my money by this product, and I strongly advise anyone who has considered purchasing it to reconsider their decision.

When my friend suggested that I “go buy one from Harbor Freight,” I should have heeded his advice. Mine has lasted me three years and is stubbornly refusing to die..

I’m fairly certain that a 20-40 dollar angle grinder purchased from Harbor Freight would outlast this abominable machine that was designed to kill itself by itself.
