When it comes to doing the single job of acting as a fence for your bandsaw the Kreg fence just does a simpler and better job although it is a one trick pony in comparison.
“So besides a couple bearings my bandsaw(14” older jet) is great! I will need a fence eventually tho. I bought a pair of bessy corner clamps awhile back make a clamping fence for my old bandsaw. I think I will make my own fence so it’s a bit more customizable to me, but has anyone made their own magjig fences and I would assume two 60s would be sufficient enough for it, but I’ve never used them before so I really don’t know…. If anyone has used any of the fences or made their own for a delta style bandsaw I would love to hear about it! TIA!

Anything tall, flat and sturdy should work for the fence. Greg D. Thanks for the post Greg D. I really like your resaw fence. The Carter fence is really not a fence as we are use to.
Turn on the saw and saw down the line about 8-10″. With a pencil, draw a line on the saw table using the edge of the sawn board as a guide. Remove the board and slide the fence to the line, which is the direction of drift.
“I bought the fence and Resaw last summer, I wanted the micro adjuster but it wasn’t available at the time. I did not have any fence previously and have come to appreciate the Kreg fence many times since acquiring it. Just the other day, I used it to rip some 2 1/4′” thick maple and again marvelled at how easy and straight my cuts were. One downside to the Kreg fence is that it makes the bandsaw much more awkward to place on and remove from the unit. I added the Kreg Deluxe fence system, carter guide bearings and a new 5/8″ Shopsmith blade.
