Buy Blue Makita 9032 3/8

I looked at Harbor Freight, 3M 33575, and Proxxon 38536 tools, as well as their reviews, to see which one was best. The belt alignment issues I didn’t want to deal with with this tool aren’t important to me, so I didn’t bother with them. To be honest, I didn’t like the Harbor Freight tool I looked at very closely in their store. There was too much plastic and the “clamp” used to change the angle of their sanding arm seemed to be ineffective and not strong enough for the job. You get what you pay for, as I’ve learned over the last 40 years of woodworking. This is a must-have for me. I can buy 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch accessory arms (it comes with 3/8 inch) to make it even more versatile. The best tool, but not the worst.
