The nail Lock-out tells the user when it’s time to reload nails. With a small size and a weight of just 4 pounds, the AF635 was made for all-day professional use. In addition, the tool comes with a reversible belt hook that lets you keep it close at hand, a multi-directional exhaust port that directs exhaust air away from the user, a built-in air Duster that makes it easy to clear your workspace, and a 2-mode selector switch that lets you quickly change nailing modes.
Because this nailer is so big, this gun is very light for such a big one. It drives 2 1/2″ nails with ease.
This is what I think: I think the aluminum magazine is better than the new plastic fad designs, and the nail guide moves smoothly and quickly.
The trigger is also smooth, without the jerks that some cheaper models have. The sequential trigger selector is also smooth.
Only Lucas Air Tool Oil works for me. I’ve tried a lot of other types of oil over the years.
When you use Lucas Oil, it doesn’t get all over the place like some other oils do.
Add 10-15 drops of Lucas to new guns. Then run 25 or so nails. Add another 5 drops and do it all over again.
The fact that it runs on oil and has an aluminum magazine were two of the main things that made this Makita stand out.
They don’t last as long before the seals break. A Lucas Oiled air tool will last for a very long time.
Having a second air blower is nice, as well as the sequential trigger select and the dry fire lock out feature.
The whole gun is made of high-quality parts that fit together well and work smoothly.
